The Grand Mint Festival (GMF), where FT Island's stage is scheduled for November 2 on the 26th, announced Choi's absence, saying, "The performance of FT Island will be prepared by replacing member Choi Min-hwan with a session player as discussed with the agency, and we will notify you quickly if there are any additional matters."
FNC Entertainment also apologized to fans and festivals, saying, "Choi Min-hwan's drum position will be replaced by sessions, and other FT Island members plan to perform the setlist prepared by appearing the same as each other."
On the GMF stage held in Korea, Choi Min hwan was replaced by a performer, and on the 25th, the previous day, another change in FT Island's Taiwan concert was reported.
Shilin Planning, who is in charge of planning FT Island's concert in Taiwan, posted an emergency notice on its official account, saying, "After a lot of communication, Choi Min-hwan, a member of the FTISLAND Kaohsiung concert, will perform behind the scenes due to personal factors and will not attend the event."
FT Island was scheduled to hold an Asian tour "2024 FT Island Live, Pulse in Asia" in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on the 26th and meet with fans, but Choi Min-hwan is currently being criticized for being embroiled in suspicions of visiting the business due to the release of Yul-hee's transcript.
Due to the sudden situation, Choi Min-hwan ended up participating in the concert only as a performer behind the stage, not as a member.
The performance in October will take place behind the scenes, but the GMF Festival in Korea in November will be replaced by Choi Min-hwan's drumming position.
